Terry Hui has played a key role in transforming urban landscapes. As the leader of Concord Pacific, he has overseen the redevelopment of Vancouver’s Expo ‘86 Lands and Toronto’s rail lands near the CN Tower, resulting in Canada’s largest master-planned communities: Concord Pacific Place and CityPlace. These projects have had a major influence on urban planning in cities around the world.
Terry has received several honors, including the UN Global Citizens Laureate, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, and the Rix Award for Engaged Community Citizenship. He’s lent his business expertise to the Business Advisory Council to APEC and the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Council on Asia-Pacific. He serves as a Director on the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade and co-founded the Quantum Gravity Society, dedicated to a unified understanding of the theories of relativity and quantum mechanics.
Mr. Hui holds a Physics degree from UC Berkeley and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University. His innovations at Concord Pacific include establishing Canada’s fastest internet with the first fiber community, launching a fourth wireless carrier in Canada, creating North America’s first large-scale EV quick-charge parkade, and pioneering BioSpace systems for healthier living environments. He has also led significant solar, wind, and hydroelectric projects as the leader of Concord Green Energy.
In addition to his professional achievements, Terry Hui is passionate about cycling, skiing, and competitive sailing in Europe. He’s supported the Canadian bid for the first-ever Puig Women’s Americas Cup in Barcelona.
